19th Century: Regional Maritime History, Export and Trade History, Business History, Portuguese, Spanish and Canadian maritime trade history. Technological and institutional development.

The thesis examines the segments of sale in the clipfish trade, studying the development of Christian Johnsen’s export from Kristiansund in the second half of the 19th century. It examines internal and external elements and analyses whether – and how – elements interacted and eventually structured the marketing. The thesis will hopefully be published in 2020.
